Accidents can happen in all sorts of
situations…
No matter what type of accident you have
had or how your injury occurred, we can advise you about making a claim.
Here are some of the types of claims we can assist you with:
Road Traffic Accidents
Whether you were the
driver, a pedestrian or a passenger, whether you suffered only slight injury
or were badly injured, we can help.
You may have been involved in an accident
where the vehicle which caused it was not insured or has disappeared without
trace. If so, we can advise you about making a claim through the Motor
Insurers’ Bureau.
Accidents At Work
You may have suffered an injury at work
which you believe was caused by badly maintained machinery, poor systems of
work, or which simply would not have happened if you had been given proper
training. You may have developed a disease or condition through your work,
such as deafness, repetitive strain injury, a skin problem, or asthma. We
have the expertise to advise you.
Accidents On Other People’s Property
You may have had an accident whilst visiting someone
else’s land or property. If the premises were not properly maintained and
you were injured as a result, you may be able to bring a claim under the
Occupiers Liability Act.
Slipping and Tripping
You may have fallen over on a pavement or road, in a
shop, or at work and wish to bring a claim, for instance against the local
authority.
Defective Products
If you have been unfortunate enough to buy goods or
products which caused you to suffer an injury, you may be able to make a
claim. This could cover anything you have bought, from a bottle of ginger
beer to a package holiday.
Injury Caused By An Animal
You may have been injured by an animal, whether wild
or domesticated and it may be possible to bring claim against the owner or
keeper.
Sports Injuries
Sporting injuries are common. You may have been
injured whilst taking part in some sporting activity, or as a spectator.
Deliberately Intended Injury
If you have been the victim of an assault for
instance, you may be able to apply for compensation for your injuries through
the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
Psychiatric Injury
You do not have to have suffered a
physical injury in order to be able to make a claim; you may be entitled to
compensation because you have suffered stress at work, or you have developed
a psychiatric illness as a result of seeing a member of your family get
injured in an accident. If you are suffering from anxiety, depression or any
other psychological problem as a result of having been in an accident you may also
be entitled to claim.
A Fatal Accident
If you have had the sad misfortune to lose a loved
one in an accident, we can advise you about bringing a claim for compensation
for yourself or your dependants under the Fatal Accidents Act.
Clinical Negligence
If you have suffered injury or
disability as a result of medical treatment please visit the clinical
negligence section of our website.
